Frequently asked questions
About the platform
What exactly is Disciplying?
A one-to-one Christian discipleship platform. A disciple moves through lesson series — video, podcast, Bible study and quiz — accompanied by a disciplyer who reviews their progress and talks with them before each step.
Why is it called that?
From joining discipling and multiplying. The full explanation is on the About Disciplying page.
Is there a cost?
Write to us at disciplica@juan316.com and we'll talk about your situation.
What languages is it in?
English and Spanish. disciplying.com and disciplicando.com.
About access
Can I sign up on my own?
No. You join by invitation from a disciplyer or a church. Discipleship assumes accompaniment from the start.
My invitation code expired.
They last 24 hours. Ask whoever sent it for another one.
Do I need to install an app?
No. It opens in your browser and you can save it to your phone's home screen.
About offline use
Does it really work without a signal?
Yes. You download your lesson's study, audio and video, and use them offline. Only your current lesson and the ones you have completed are offered.
If I have internet, does it use data again?
No. Once downloaded, the app always uses the copy saved on your device. It is worth downloading at church, on a good connection, and studying at home in peace.
Can I lose what I downloaded?
You can close the app or leave it in the background without any problem. But if you sign out, everything downloaded on that device is erased — a security measure, because the material is tied to your account.
What doesn't work offline?
Anything that has to reach the server: inviting disciples, approving progress, opening the study guides and support resources, and the Bible tools. The app tells you when that happens.
About content and accompaniment
Who approves my moving to the next lesson?
Your disciplyer, after talking with you. Passing the quiz does not advance you automatically — the conversation is part of the method, not a formality.
What if I don't pass the quiz?
You need 80%. You can review the lesson and try again. If your disciplyer thinks it is worth repeating, they will tell you.
Does the disciplyer study too?
Yes. A disciplyer is also a disciple, with progress of their own.
Do you use artificial intelligence?
Only as a reference tool inside the study — something like a modern concordance that helps you search and compare passages. It does not interpret the Bible for you, and it does not replace your church's teaching. Interpretation is your responsibility and your pastors'.
About privacy
Who sees my progress?
Your disciplyer and your organization's administrators. It is not public information, and the platform's content is not accessible without an account.
For churches
How do I bring it to my congregation?
Start with the for churches and pastors page and write to us at disciplica@juan316.com.
Does it replace Sunday school?
It doesn't have to. Most use it as reinforcement during the week, alongside what they already do.
Supporting the ministry
Disciplying is sustained so that congregations who could not afford a discipleship program can have one. If you would like to help, write to us at disciplica@juan316.com.
